| Testimonial Mr. David A. Glazier In 1987, you designed and constructed a 2-level deck at our last
home located at 11596 Paramus Drive, N. Potomac, Maryland. The decision to
hire you for the job followed interviewing and receiving bids from three
other contractors. Since all of your references checked out well and your
bid to construct out deck was the most competitive, we gave you the job.
We were pleased with the quality of your work and your ability to complete
the job within the time promised.
In 1991, we decided to finish the wall-out basement at our Paramus
Drive home, to include a full bath and wet bar. Even though we had drawn
up a rough basement sketch, we asked you and each of the other three
contractors who were bidding the job to recommend any changes to the
proposed floor plan that may enhance the finish, without increasing the
cost. You were the only one who made detailed design suggestions, and your
bid was the most competitive. We were pleased with your ability to
complete the job in a timely fashion with minimal disruption to our daily
life. The craftsmanship and quality finish was superb. In the summer of 1992, we purchased a one-acre lot and approached
several builders/developers to bid the construction of out 6000 sq. ft.
home. Large, reputable, local construction companies as well as smaller
building contractors were considered for the job. During the bidding process, we were especially impressed with your
knowledge and the time you took with us to ensure that we understood the
quality of materials and workmanship that your bid included. Despite
significant differences in the bids we received, your contract price was
the most competitive and included a more compete finish and higher grade
of materials, appliances and fixtures. It was surprising to us that the
quality of materials you proposed were comparable, or in most cases better
than, those proposed by the other "higher priced" bidders. In addition, your proposed (and actual) completion time was shorter
than the other three bidders which was important to us since we were
responsible for paying the interest carry on the construction loan. You
also worked well with our architect Robert Greenberg and the Potomac Bend
Architectural Control Committee, which as you know, was quite particular
about making certain the design of all new homes built in the project
conformed with all community covenants and committee requirements. Finally, the coordination of subcontractors, management of time and
the control of work orders was executed professionally by Lisa in all
phases of the job. All of the subcontractors and workman were polite,
friendly and unobtrusive. Although we have been in our new home only a short while, we have received
many compliments from our friends, neighbors and independent trade
inspectors. In retrospect, our decision to engage you to build out home
was the right and best choice in light of the quality of your workmanship
and your ability to meet projected completion dates while staying within
our budget. We have enjoyed working with you, Lisa and your company and are
very pleased with the success of this undertaking, as you should be with
your accomplishment. We will be happy to serve as a reference in the
future and would not hesitate to use your company again should the need
arise. Again, many thanks and best wishes for your continued success and
prosperity! Best personal regards, Mr. and Mrs. John G. Mergner, Jr. Portfolio | Top | Testimonials |
